Asset Management

Asset management by using new Technologies.

Introduction

The main ambition in this research line is to find/analyze and develop applications where IoT technology and digitization helps with management issues.

Just as an example, building information modeling (BIM) and distributed ledger technologies (DLT) through IoTA can help addressing managerial applications, such as asset management.

Another application fitting in this field is the Hoshin Kanri related approach, named as (CPD)nA, which enables take advantage of digitization era to standardize intra-organization formal communications.

In some cases the interests go through more managerial aspects, such as project management and its impact in the development of the project partners.

Of course, it is possible to find many different fields where technology, when applied in an smart way, can contribute to do better regarding sustainability (SDGs) and welfare of society. It will depends on the motivation of the PhD candidate to find the proper field of application.

PhD candidates are welcome when they are interested in research related integration of new technologies with building design and usage, including all aspects related to their management.
